Ashlyn Bordelon, LPCS-C

Ashlyn is passionate about the importance of acknowledging and validating the unique circumstances and experiences of each individual. Her goal as a counselor is to assist you in your journey of self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-growth.

Ashlyn uses research-supported techniques from a variety of therapy styles, including Internal Family Systems, Person Centered Therapy, and Gottman Couples therapy, and is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Ultimately, she understands the importance of tailoring therapy to each individual – everyone is different and she will make sure whatever method she uses fits your needs.

Ashlyn is passionate about providing counseling services for LGBTQ+ individuals because she, herself, identifies with the LGBTQ+ community. She has experience working with individuals who struggle with sexuality and gender identity development, self-injury, relationship issues, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, and more.

Ashlyn is at her core an avid music lover and believes in the therapeutic nature of listening to an album from beginning to end. Outside of the office, she can be found cuddling on the couch with her pets or hanging out at some of her favorite queer spots across Columbia.
