terms & conditions
Effective Date: 7/28/2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the website located at [insert website URL] (the “Website”), operated by AimWell Counseling and Wellness (“AimWell,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
2. Purpose of This Website
This Website is provided for general informational purposes about AimWell’s counseling and wellness services. It is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, diagnosis, or advice, and nothing on the Website should be relied upon as clinical guidance for any individual situation.
3. Not a Provider-Client Relationship
Browsing this Website, submitting the Contact Us form, or otherwise communicating with us through the Website does not, by itself, create a therapist-client or provider-patient relationship. A clinical relationship with AimWell begins only after a formal intake process, including execution of our informed consent and related client agreements.
4. Not for Emergencies
This Website is not monitored for emergencies and should never be used to seek help during a mental health crisis. If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) for immediate support.
5. Patient Portal
The Website contains a link to our patient portal, which is available only to current, established clients. Use of the patient portal is governed separately by the portal vendor’s own terms of use and by your signed agreements with AimWell — not by these Website Terms and Conditions.
6. Eligibility
The Website is intended for use by individuals 18 years of age or older, or by parents/legal guardians inquiring on behalf of a minor. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian use the Contact Us form on your behalf.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this Website — including text, graphics, logos, and the AimWell name and branding — is the property of AimWell Counseling and Wellness or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print Website content for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Website content without our prior written permission.
8. Acceptable Use
When using this Website, you agree not to:
Submit false, misleading, or harmful information through the Contact Us form
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the patient portal or any non-public area of the Website
Use the Website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation
Use the Website to violate any applicable law or the rights of others
9. Links to Third-Party Websites
This Website may link to third-party websites, including our patient portal login page. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party website.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
This Website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AimWell Counseling and Wellness shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Website.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

privacy policy
Effective Date: 7/28/2026
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how AimWell Counseling and Wellness (“AimWell,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information gathered through our website located at aimwellcounseling.com (the “Website”). It applies only to information collected through the Website itself — such as through our contact form, cookies, and general site analytics.
This Policy does NOT govern how we use or disclose Protected Health Information (PHI) in connection with clinical services. If you are a current or prospective client, our use of your PHI is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP), which is provided and signed at intake, consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). If you would like another copy of our NPP, contact us using the information in Section 11 below.
2. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide Directly
When you use the Contact Us form on our Website, we collect the information you choose to enter, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message.
Please do not use the Contact Us form to share detailed health information, symptoms, diagnoses, or other sensitive clinical information. The Website contact form is not a secure channel for Protected Health Information, and messages sent through it are used only to respond to your general inquiry (for example, scheduling questions or general information requests).
b. Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, our Website and hosting provider automatically log certain technical information when you visit, which may include your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, and the pages you view. This information is used for basic site security, troubleshooting, and understanding general site usage.
c. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use a limited number of cookies on our Website, managed through our consent management tool, WPConsent. WPConsent displays a cookie banner that allows you to review and choose which categories of cookies (for example, strictly necessary, functional, or analytics cookies) you consent to, consistent with applicable cookie and consent requirements.
We do not use Google Analytics or similar third-party behavioral advertising trackers on this Website.
3. Patient Portal Link
Our Website includes a link to our client patient portal, which is intended for use by current, established clients only. The patient portal is a separate, secure platform operated by TherapyNotes/TherapyPortal, not by the public-facing Website itself. Use of the patient portal is governed by that vendor’s own privacy policy and terms of use, and by our HIPAA policies and your signed Notice of Privacy Practices — not by this Website Privacy Policy. We do not collect or store information submitted within the patient portal on our public Website.
4. How We Use Website Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to inquiries submitted through the Contact Us form
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Website
- Monitor and protect the security of the Website
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use information collected through the Website for advertising or marketing profiling, and we do not sell Website visitor information.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information collected through the Website. We may share limited Website information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Website (for example, our web hosting provider and WPConsent, our cookie consent management provider), who are only permitted to use the information to provide services to us
- Law enforcement or regulators, if required by law, court order, or legal process
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of practice assets, subject to applicable confidentiality obligations
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information submitted through the Website. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information you send to us electronically.
7. Children’s Privacy
This Website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Website’s contact form. If you believe a child has submitted information to us through the Website, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Your Choices
- Cookie preferences: You may review and update your cookie consent choices at any time through the WPConsent cookie banner/settings link on our Website.
- Contact form submissions: To request that we delete a message you submitted through the Contact Us form, email us at admin@aimwellcounseling.com.
9. Links to Other Websites
Our Website may contain links to third-party websites, including our patient portal login page. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies directly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
